Richard Mainwaring teaches at Monkton Combe School in England, and is a musician, composer, studio engineer, broadcaster, and the author of What the Ear Hears (and Doesn’t). Richard was commissioned to write an historic piece for the International Space Station, and his compositions can be heard on the BBC, Channel 4, Discovery Channel and Netflix. As a musician he has performed with The Phantom of the Opera, as well as a wide range of celebrities, including Hugh Laurie, Eartha Kitt, and Tom Odell. As a broadcaster he has presented over 50 films on the BBC’s “The ONE Show” and is a regular voice on BBC Radio Wales.
